Democrats, under direction by Sen. Reid and House Speaker Pelosi, have released a letter
to the President calling the troop surge a failure. Before all of the
MRE’s are unpacked, and the new wave of troops have even had a chance
to change their socks and break a sweat in the 120 degree Iraqi
climate, Democrats are calling this surge a failure. What is it about
these people that make them want to seek political gain at the expense
of national pride? Oh, that’s right, these are liberals, and national
pride doesn’t count…only international perceptions. Senator Reid and
Speaker Pelosi don’t know the first thing about a military operation.
Browsing through their biographies, I don’t see any military
background, so I’m left to wonder how they can accurately judge an
operation that hasn’t even gotten started yet a “failure.” Maybe we
can let Gen. Petreus chime on in that one first?!
There are only 2 possibilities with Democrats lack of support for
the war, our troops, and our nation in a time of war. Either one, they
don’t think we can win, or two, they think we’re going about a war the
wrong way. There’s a pretty horrible 3rd option, but that would
suggest they’re rooting for the other guys, and we’ll give them the
benefit of the doubt for now. For option number two to be accurate, we
would have to hear some decent and constructive criticism. There would
need to be a solid plan of attack, and an all around better way to go
about this war. Maybe Sen. Reid could sponsor a bill to increase
military budgets for personnel, so instead of cutting our forces (like
the USAF cut of 40,000 troops), we could double our manpower. How
about a troop surge of 300,000? How’s that sound? Maybe 500,000
troops on the ground (see Desert Storm stats for precedence) would
enable us to secure the borders, seriously threaten Iran (instead of
weakly skirmishing here and there), and quell sectarian violence.
Democrats offer none of these ideas. Instead we get letters calling
the operation a failure, and calls for “redeployment” of troops (this
is dem code for ‘retreat’). Democrats have chosen option number one.
They don’t think we can win.
Democrats don’t think a superpower nation can defeat a bunch of terrorist thugs.
They don’t deserve to lead this nation. It’s time for Republicans
to clean house. Along with any corrupt officials (like pedophiles who
send instant messages to boys) and Republicans in Name Only (the RINOs
know who they are..some of them are running for president), the party
needs a cleansing. You win the people over by showing strong
conviction on the issues. It’s as simple as that.
“The American people cannot and should not have to wait until later this year for changes in your flawed Iraq policy. There is an obligation to act now. That is why we intend to again send you legislation that would limit the U.S. mission in Iraq, begin the phased redeployment of U.S. forces, and bring the war to a responsible end.“ — Speaker Pelosi’s Letter 13 June 2007
This is NOT leadership, and it’s not what America needs to remain a
successful superpower nation. “A responsible end”? Who is this woman
kidding. Take notice, America, the word victory is nowhere to be found
in this letter.
